This depends on the type of site you plan to build, a site with loads of graphics and multimedia files will consume your web storage space in no time at all they will also eat into your bandwidth allowance. Pages with mainly text content with well optimised images you will be surprised just how many pages you can fit into a small amount of web space.

Take our website for example there are over 100 pages including web pages, graphics, Flash files and script files but it just uses over 2 MB's of disk space. How do we do it?

It's no trick, by using CSS style sheets correctly you can keep the overall size of your site down to a minimum like formatting colour html elements instead of using background images, if you do use background images design your site so the same image can be used on multiple pages and make sure they are optimised using software like Macromedia Fireworks.

The sure safe way to know how much web storage space you require is to build your site first on a test machine. Then for example if the size of your site is 100 MB add another 50 MB this will give you plenty of space for additional pages for the future and any web server files.
